Fall planting brings spring flowers. Daffodil Days are coming!
In just a few short weeks Allentown’s annual “Fall Festival” will bring thousands of visitors to our Main Street area. Restaurants, stores, crafters, civic and school groups, bands and even reenactors will benefit from the influx of business and interest. For that weekend, our quaint village and the rural area surrounding it will be a showcase in the most densely populated State in the Union. Why not repeat the party in the Spring? Everything that supports our local Main Street and the people who depend on it to make a living also supports all of us – families, schools and neighborhoods in Allentown and Upper Freehold who have made the investment to call this community “home.” That’s why TAVI is proposing “Daffodil Days” for the Spring of 2022. Think “Fall Fest” just in the Spring – a weekend festival to draw people and business into our community highlighted by thousands of beautiful blooming daffodils throughout Heritage Park.
But we need your help to make it happen. TAVI is working to promote the planting of at least 2,000 daffodils in Heritage Park this October. We’re inviting groups to support this effort by contributing to the cost of the bulbs and coming out to help dig the 2,000 holes needed to plant them. Will you join us to create a new tradition for our town? Someone once said, “Plant it and they will come!” Sign up today at www.allentownvinj.org to be a part of “Daffodil Days 2022.”
